AN empty unit in Saltaire could be turned into a new bar and bistro if new plans are approved.
Willow Properties (Yorkshire) has submitted a planning application to convert a former salon, 24 Bingley Road (pictured) into a bar and eatery.
The application says that they: “Intend to invest substantially with a full refurbishment and internal alteration of the property to open a fully licensed bar and bistro on the ground and first floors.”
The second and third floors are currently a maisonette, and the new plans will not alter this.
The building is not listed, and just outside of the Saltaire Conservation Area.
If approved the new business is expected to create two full time and four part time jobs, and open from 11am to 11pm.
A decision is expected early next month.
