REVELLERS going to Bingley Music Live have been urged to find other options for their way home on its first night due to a rail strike.

Northern has told passengers they will need to find an alternative on Friday, September 1, due to strike action by the RMT trade union, as last trains will leave Bingley ahead of the Myrtle Park event's 9.30pm finish on that day.

Northern is operating services between 7am and 7pm on Friday and Monday, September 4, with services in some areas finishing before 7pm. But train services will run as normal on both Saturday and Sunday.

Northern’s Chris Jackson said: “We will be unable to provide train or replacement bus services for festival goers leaving the Bingley Music Live event on Friday.

“Services home from the event on both Saturday and Sunday evening will operate as normal.”
