PLANS to develop houses on a builders' yard in the centre of Baildon have been submitted to Bradford Council.

William Ellis has submitted the application for six terraced houses built on the back of 33 Westgate.

The development will also see an existing first floor office on the site turned into a flat.

The houses will be a mix of one bed and two bed, and the development will include 11 parking spaces.

The application describes it as: "a small development of quality stone properties in this highly sought after location in the heart of Baildon, within walking distance of the village centre and extremely convenient for local transport and the city centre.

"The site will be cleared and the development will be self contained offering new and affordable dwellings much needed in the area."

A decision on the application will be made next month.
