AN operation to crack down on nuisance bikes and quads has seized or recovered almost 800 vehicles.

The Bradford District ASB bike team has also issued more than 850 section 59 warnings to riders under the schemes.

This follows a busy week under the scheme for officers, which included recovering eight vehicles for offences including breaches of section 59 legislation, road traffic offences and stolen vehicles.

There were almost 50 reports of illegal or anti-social bike/quad use, resulting in some of these seizures.

A number of other incidents were directly witnessed by officers on the team and dealt with – some enquiries are ongoing and will result in prosecutions.

West Yorkshire Police - Keighley's Facebook post added: "The illegal and anti-social use of motorcycles and quad bikes will not be tolerated and the team will continue to deal with anyone foolish enough to act in this manner."
