MUSIC fans are being urged to buy their tickets for the district’s biggest music festival before prices rise on Monday.

Tickets for Bingley Music Live are currently at the early bird price of £60 for the full three-day festival. But the price goes up to £70 on Monday.

The line-up for the festival, organised by Bradford Council, has now been finalised, and will see some of Bradford’s best local talent take to the stage alongside some of the biggest names in British music.

Headlining this year’s festival, which takes place from Friday, September 1, to Sunday, September 3, are Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers, Leeds band The Kaiser Chiefs, and Liverpudlian indie trio The Wombats.

Other acts taking to the stage in Myrtle Park include Maximo Park, former Libertines frontman Pete Doherty, Soul II Soul, Sheffield band Milburn, Badly Drawn Boy, Twin Atlantic, Sundara Karma, and Cabbage.

On this year’s Discovery Stage, upcoming acts Tom Grennan, The Big Moon, and Halifax group The Orielles will be entertaining crowds.

Four acts from the district will also be playing the festival after winning this year’s emerging talent competition.

Your Illuminations, Able’s Army, The Harriets, and Sifaka will all get the chance to make their name and rub shoulders with the big acts at the festival.

Alongside the weekend of live music, there will also be a children’s play area, real ale, gin and cocktail bars, food stalls and a market area at the festival.

Tickets are available from bingleymusiclive.com for £60 until Monday, when adult weekend tickets will rise to £70 plus booking fee.

This year, Bradford Council and Bradford and Bingley RUFC have joined forces to provide camping facilities for the festival.

For a long weekend camping the cost is £45 per person, £40 for the full weekend, or £15 for individual nights. Campervans cost £70 for one person for the long weekend and £45 for additional campers, £60 and £40 for the full weekend, and £30 and £15 for individual nights. See beescamping.co.uk.
