PUNTERS in Bingley can quench their thirst tomorrow at a beer festival in the town.

Five Rise Beer Festival will hold its second and final day tomorrow at Bingley Arts Centre, Main Street.

Visitors will have a choice of 66 beers, 11 ciders and Prosecco. Tomorrow’s sessions will run from noon to 5pm, priced £5 on the door and then 6pm until 11pm, priced £6.

The district’s best beverages will be represented through firms including Saltaire Brewery and Bradford Brewery.

The two-day event, which started today, has been organised by Kevin Watt and John Hagerty, who are members of the Rotary Club of Bingley and the Rotary Club of Bingley Airedale respectively.

Money raised from the event will be distributed among charities in the town.

Last year’s festival raised £2,000 for charity, with this total set to be smashed this year.

Mr Watt said: “We are expecting more than 1,000 people to attend the beer festival over the two days. That will be more than last year. It is a successful event.”
