AN empty unit in Shipley town centre will go under the hammer at a property auction next month.
Fenix House, 30 Westgate, is made up of the empty unit, a former restaurant, and offices that have been effectively sold off on a peppercorn rent with a lease that lasts until 2117.
The upper floor businesses are unaffected by the auction.
The unit, near Shipley Indoor Market, has a £60,000 guide price, and will be one of the lots at the Pugh Property Auction at Leeds United Football Club on Thursday June 8, starting at noon.
In the past 12 months, plans to convert a building opposite this unit, 11-19 Westgate, from offices into four shops and an apartment building, were approved by Bradford Council.
