A STREET in the centre of Bingley has been cordoned off this morning after a man suffered a head injury after being assaulted outside a nightclub.
Chapel Lane, off Main Street, was blocked off by police tape this morning, with a forensic tent is in place in front of the entrance to an alleyway.
A police spokesman said a man was assaulted outside a bar at 1.30am, suffering non-life threatening injuries, and police were this morning investigating the scene.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service said they were called to Bijou Bar at 1.26am to reports a man had been injured in an assault.
They sent two ambulances and a clinical supervisor to the scene. A spokesman said: "We took a male patient to Leeds General Infirmary with a possible head injury."
A police spokesman told the Telegraph & Argus this afternoon that the man remained in hospital, and there had, as yet, been no arrests.
