WOULD-be volunteers are being invited to a special event on Keighley's steam railway.

The wide range of roles on offer will be outlined during the event, at Ingrow West Station on Saturday (Mar 11).

Existing volunteers from the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, Vintage Carriages Trust and Bahamas Locomotive Society will be present.

Visitors should go to the Carriage Works Museum for 11am, where they will be greeted by a guide.

After tea and coffee, a tour of the site will be given.

A spokesman said: "There will be enthusiastic volunteers from all three organisations so people can learn about restoration work, museum interpretation, how to be a booking clerk and all the other roles which are available.

"Also, there will be freedom to look around the museums so people can spend time finding out which role would suit them best."

The event runs until 4pm.
