VOLUNTEERS running Silsden Youth and Community Centre are helping raise money for a mum fighting cancer.
Half the proceeds of a tabletop sale at the centre will go to the So Sally Can Wait appeal, in aid of Sally Major, 33, of Silsden.
Mrs Major’s husband Liam is raising hundreds of thousands of pounds so that his wife can receive medical treatment in Germany in the hope of saving her life.
Mrs Major is fighting advanced stage four bowel cancer, but treatment is not possible in the UK.
The centre, in Elliott Street, will hold the sale on Sunday, February 26, from 10am to 1pm.
Centre director Jill Cook said the stalls would sell goods such as ‘second-hand treasures’, clothing, toys and household items.
The centre, formerly run by Bradford Council, provides a range of activities.
