BRADFORD Council have approved plans for two shops to be built on an area of land in Great Horton.
The Bradford East Area Planning Panel backed Mohammed Parvaiz’ plans for the shops on a triangular plot, next to 35 Springfield Avenue, at a meeting last week.
The plans will also see three, one bedroom flats built above the shops, as well as five parking spaces.
There had been two letters of objection to the plans, as well as a petition of 36 signatures against the development. Objectors said the shops would lead to increased traffic, antisocial behaviour and crime.
But planning officers had told the committee: “It is considered that this proposal does not pose any significant apparent community safety implications.”
