PUPILS at a school in Shipley put together more than 60 gift boxes for disadvantaged children across Bradford.

Youngsters from Wycliffe Primary School, in Saltaire Road, collected shoeboxes and filled them with presents.

The shoeboxes were then donated to the Shoebox Appeal being run jointly by Bradford Cathedral and Bradford Cinderella Club.

A spokesman for the school said: “We have been collecting shoeboxes with gifts in.

“They have gone to the Cinderella project at Bradford Cathedral. These gifts are for children of all ages, whose parents have to use the food bank.

“There were over 60 boxes made up, for children ranging from birth to 16 years old.”
