A NINE-year-old girl has been presented with an award after she had her long hair cut off and donated to the Princess Trust.
Gracie O'Donnell, a pupil at Low Ash Primary School in Shipley, had her hair, which reached down to her waist, cut short for the charity.
She was presented with a Selfless Act of Kindness award in a whole school assembly by Nic Sykes and Nicola France, representatives from Provide Education.
Louise Marsh, of Low Ash Primary, said: "Gracie used to have really long hair and she chose to have a lot of it cut off for the Princess Trust.
"She raised money for it, and her hair will now go towards making a wig for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment."
Gracie's mother, Susan O'Donnell, also attended the award presentation.
