A MAN has appeared in court accused of robbing a shop assistant at the Co-Op in Baildon at knifepoint.
Luke Butler, 26, of Woodside, Shipley, appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court today charged with robbery and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
The alleged offences relate to an incident that took place at the store on Sunday afternoon.
The female worker was unharmed but a small quantity of cash was taken from the till.
Butler did not formally enter pleas to either of the charges.
District judge Richard Clews granted him conditional bail due to his previous good character and the fact he suffers from mental health issues.
Butler will next appear at Bradford Crown Court on Tuesday, November 29.
