A 42-YEAR-OLD woman was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation following a flat fire.
Crews from Bingley and Shipley Fire Stations were called to a second floor flat in Park Road, Bingley, at 3.30am today.
The fire started after a pan of food had been left on a gas hob in the flat's kitchen.
Watch Commander Jason Bentley, of Bingley Fire Station, said the woman was found unconscious slumped on a sofa in the kitchen/living room of the flat, but came round when treated by paramedics and was rescued by fire crews.
He added the flat was heavy smoke logged.
She was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary and was given a precautionary check-up.
