A POST Office which was badly damaged when raiders blew up a cash machine has been officially reopened by Shipley MP Philip Davies.

The Coach Road Post Office in Baildon had to undergo an extensive rebuild after the incident in April this year and the refurbished, modern style service has now reopened its doors.

Postmaster Mohammed Yasmin said: "I am delighted with our newly refurbished premises.

"It has been a very difficult time for us following the attack. I am looking forward to welcoming back customers, old and new to the Post Office.

"I regard the Post Office network as a vital part of the community.ā€

Mr Davies said: ā€œI am delighted. It has taken a lot of hard work from many to get back to this point, however both the local community and Post Office have come together to make this happen. It is great to see the doors of Coach Road Post office open once again."

Post Office manager Mark Gibson said: "Iā€™d like to wish everyone at Coach Road Post Office every success.

"We are delighted that the Post Office service has reopened as we understand how important having a Post Office is to residents in the area."
