POLICE have found a man missing from a secure mental health facility, who was said to be on the loose in a state of undress.
Police officers had been combing a stretch of the Leeds and Liverpool canal between Shipley and Bingley after the man in his 20s was reported missing at around 9.40am.
The police helicopter had also been scrambled to help with the search.
The man, described by witnesses as being in a state of undress, was found near Saltaire at 10.38am today.
Insp Darren Wainwright, of West Yorkshire Police, said: "It does appear that he has removed some of his clothing.
"At 10.38am, he was detained and is back safely with West Yorkshire Police officers en route back to the secure unit.
"The male appears to be fit and well and has not got any injuries."
