A 34-YEAR-OLD man who struck two vehicles when he nipped out for a takeaway after downing six pints of lager has been banned from driving for 17 months.
Andrew Witney, of Firbeck, Harden, Bingley, pleaded guilty to driving on Highfield Lane, Keighley, on August 13, with 85 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
Bradford and Keighley magistrates heard yesterday that he was stopped just after midnight when he hit two parked vehicles.
Witney, of previous good character, apologised to the court for his foolishness.
He was fined £250 and ordered to pay £270 in costs.
