HOLY BML, Batman! Masks, capes and underpants on the outside will be de rigueur at Bingley Music Live as audiences are urged to dress for fun at the last big party of the summer.

Superheroes is the fashion theme of Bradford Council's three day festival, which starts at Bingley's Myrtle Park on Friday, September 4.

Comic book characters, Hollywood blockbuster stars or original creation are all welcome, while organisers are encouraging people to follow the festival on twitter @BingleyFestival using #pantsovertrousers.

Festival goers are also advised to take ID to ensure service at the event's bars.

Security staff will be at the entrance gates carrying out bag and personal possession searches, so to avoid disappointment people are advised to visit www.bingleymusiclive.com in advance to look over the list of ‘what not to bring’ and conditions of entry.

Councillor Imran Khan, Bradford Council's executive member for environment and sport, said: "While we want people to have fun at BML, we need to ensure it can be done safely and in a way that does not affect other people's enjoyment of the event.

"This is why we have a list of items not to bring and would urge everyone to check the website for details."

Tickets are selling fast and organisers are urging people to buy now, although some may be available on the weekend itself.
