A GREAT hunt for the flags of sporting nations taking part in this year's Rugby World Cup will be one of the children's highlights at this year's Baildon Carnival.

Shops and businesses across the town are hiding flags in their shop windows and premises for children and parents to chase down in a special treasure hunt, to coincide with the rejuvenated community event.

The carnival is tomorrow, but town councillor Peter Ashton said the fun would start today with the family-friendly trail.

"We've got 20 shops taking part with flags for the children to hunt down and that competition will run from Friday afternoon and all through Saturday," Cllr Ashton said.

"The carnival is looking really good with at least 40 stalls booked and live music on a proper stage.

"Free programmes are going out to all the schools and entry is only £1 for children, £2 for adults and £5 for a family ticket," Cllr Ashton said.
