MASKED officers in plain clothes arrested a driver at gunpoint after they rammed a car in Shipley last night, witnesses reported today.
The car, described as a white Ford by a witness, was brought to a halt in Leeds Road, Windhill, at about 6.45pm.
One onlooker told how an undercover policeman with a bandana round his face stood in front of the car pointing a pistol at the driver through its windscreen.
A man, described as in his mid-thirties was led from the car, arrested and handcuffed while the officers involved directed traffic around the incident near the junction with Old Thackley Road.
It is understood the arrest was part of a wider operation by West Yorkshire Police.
