A GOTH grandma from Baildon who quit her job to turn her jewellery-making hobby into a business is holding a charity event in aid of a children's hospice.
Catherine Gilford - also known by her Goth name Lucrezia Raven - has started the Purple Butterfly Jewellery and Craft company, running jewellery-making workshops.
The grandmother-of-three is still passionately involved in the local Goth scene and she and husband, Andy. are well-known events, including the famous Whitby Goth weekends.
"I got hooked on jewellery-making and taught myself the craft," said the 55-year-old of Hoyle Court Road, Baildon.
On Monday, she is hosting a charity Shopping and Pamper Party at the Old Glen House pub in Baildon from 7pm to 10pm to raise money for Martin House Children’s Hospice.
Old Glen House landlady Louise Johnson said: “When we took over the pub last February we decided we wanted to support local charities and community events rather than the bigger ones."
People wanting to find out more about any of the events or to book a place can call Mrs Gilford on 07847 542202.
