Police have appealed for witnesses
POLICE today appealed for witnesses to a fatal crash in Shipley.
A black Skoda Octavia was travelling along Prospect Street when it suddenly left the road and collided with a wall at about 3.25pm on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old male driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital, but died a short time later.
Sergeant Carl Quinn, of the Major Collision Enquiry Team, said: "Minimal damage was caused to both the wall and the vehicle, which suggests that the driver was within the speed limit when the collision occurred."
Anyone who saw the vehicle, registration DE61 YLC, in the Shipley area prior to the collision should contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team on 101.
