A BAILDON man has been killed in an industrial accident at a farm in Cumbria.
Michael Padley, 60, was trapped between a milk tanker and a wall at the dairy farm in Kirkby Thore, Penrith.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are conducting a joint investigation with the HSE to establish the cause of his death on Monday, but it is not being treated as suspicious.
Mr Padley and his wife Val ran a bed and breakfast and equestrian business from their farm in Baildon.
His family said: “Mick loved the role of serving his guests with their breakfast and his humour kept everyone entertained.
"Mick and Val were married for 32 years. Val is overwhelmed by the number of cards, flowers, and emails she has received from around the globe. His loss leaves a big hole in the lives of many.”
