A teenager had to be rescued from the rooftop of a house in the middle of the night.
A crew from Idle fire station was called out to Barham Terrace on the Ravenscliffe Estate at 12.30am yesterday.
Watch commander Mick Kilburn said: “When we arrived, there was a young male trapped on the roof of a semi-detached house.
“He was right on the top of the roof by the chimney stack, clinging on.”
He said they used a ladder and a roof ladder to get up to the trapped youth and guide him down.
Mr Kilburn said: “When he was rescued, he just thanked us and walked off.”
