A MOOR fire broke out on the outskirts of Keighley.
Firefighters from Shipley and Keighley were called to the blaze at Long Lee Lane at around 4pm yesterday. (July 12)
Watch commander Joe Brady, of Keighley Fire Station, said the fire was around 100 metres by 50 metres and had gone up a quarry face quite close to some houses.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Firefighters used beaters and large jets to bring the fire under control. They remained at the scene until around 5.30pm.
