RESIDENTS are being asked to share their photographs of Princess Diana's visit to Otley.
The late Princess of Wales came to the town on December 14, 1989 when she paid a visit to Spring Gardens residential care home.
A plaque on the walls of the Westbourne Grove venue commemorates the occasion but there are no photographs to accompany it.
Hannes Gudz, a retired nurse who works at the home, wants to change that and is aiming - as part of an ongoing training project - to create a permanent picture gallery.
Mr Gudz is currently framing any photographs he can find of the visit and hopes the people of Otley will be able to contribute.
He said: "I noticed that we had a plaque about the visit of the late Princess of Wales in 1989 but we do not have any pictorial evidence.
"I feel a picture gallery of the visit would help our residents refresh their memories of this important occasion."
Anyone with an image to share is asked to contact Mr Gudz by e-mail on mrhannes05@yahoo.co.uk .
He will be showing some of his framed pictures, and talking about Princess Diana's visit to Spring Gardens, at a meeting of Otley Action for Older People on September 5.
