ESTATE agent Dacre, Son & Hartley is supporting a campaign to raise money to pay for a life-changing operation that will enable a four-year-old Ilkley to walk, jump and run.

Gabriel Kendell, who lives with his parents Drew and Sarah Kendell, and his triplet brothers Louis and Max, in Burley-in-Wharfedale, has spastic diplegia cerebral palsy and needs an operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR).

He has been selected for the operation at Leeds General Infirmary but unfortunately it isn’t available on the NHS. The family launched a £40,000 fundraising appeal in December last year to enable the procedure to go ahead as soon as possible.

The campaign has already raised more than £33,000 of its £40,000 target. Now Dacres is contributing to the final push by donating £75 for every new property that its Burley-in-Wharfedale office puts up for sale over an eight-week period. In addition, Salem United Reformed Church will be hosting its second Party in the Park between 2pm and 5pm on Sunday, June 17, in aid of the campaign.

Paul Wilson, a director at Dacre, Son & Hartley, said: “It’s impossible not to feel moved by Gabriel’s story and the organisers of Go Gabriel Go have done a fantastic job to now be within £7,000 of their £40,000 target. Hopefully we can help them reach their goal, and anyone putting their property on the market with us before the end of the month, will also be able to play their part.”

Anyone in Burley-in-Wharfedale that wants to support the campaign can book a free, no obligation, market appraisal with Dacre, Son & Hartley by calling 01943 862131. Further information is available at www.dacres.co.uk
