THE YORKSHIRE Shepherdess will return to Otley this year.

Five hundred people crammed into Otley Methodist Church last March to hear a talk by Amanda Owen about her life on a 2,000 acre sheep hill farm.

Now the celebrity farmer - who runs the farm at Ravenseat with her husband Clive and their nine children - has confirmed she'll be back in the town this September.

She will be recalling tales that feature in her autobiographical book, The Yorkshire Shepherdess, when she appears at Otley All Saints Parish Church at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 27.

Mrs Owen, who has been seen by millions on ITV's The Dales and on Channel 5's Ben Fogle’s New Lives in the Wild, will also discuss her unconventional route to 'celebrity' status - which has included a judging role on Masterchef.

Tickets for her Otley talk, which will raise money for Wheatfields Hospice, cost £10 and are on sale now.

They and can be purchased by sending payment - cheques should be made payable to Wheatfields - to: Amanda Owen Talk, c/o Peter Watson, Fundraising Manager, Wheatfields Hospice, Grove Road, Leeds LS6 2AE.

A Stamped Addressed Envelope should also be included.

Tickets can also be booked by calling (0113) 278 7249.
