A MUM-of-three completed her first ever half marathon on Sunday to raise more than £1,000 for the charity LS29.
Helen Hirst, 34, originally of Skipton and now living in Cowling, took part in the Great Manchester half marathon. It was her first ever running event and she completed it in a time of two hours and 41 minutes.
Helen is married to Tom and the couple are parents to three boys, James, aged ten, William, aged five and Daniel, aged three.
William attends Brooklands Community Special School in Skipton and it is here she came into contact with LS29. Helen decided she wanted to raise money for the charity after seeing the work it does locally to support families with children who have disabilities and special educational needs.
Helen set herself a target of raising £800 but to date has raised more than £1,000. If you would like to donate visit: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/h-hirst
