A BRADFORD business held a baking competition yesterday to help raise money for a leading cancer charity.
Loop, a part of the Kelda Group, based in Mid Point Business Park, Thornbury, held the competition to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Events organiser at Loop, Asma Riaz, said the baking contest was a great start to a week of fundraising at the company.
She said: “We had 11 cakes in the contest, and the lady who won kindly donated half the prize money, £100, to Macmillan.
“The cakes were amazing, the Minion cake and the green teapot by the coffee morning group were my personal favourites.
“We have raised about £500 so far, and we hope to get over £1,000 by the end of the week.
“My colleague Nicola Leighton has put a lot of work into pulling it all together, along with Belle Vue in Cleckheaton and Funsters in Dudley Hill.”
A Michael Bublé tribute act also performed at the charity event, which runs all week at the business.
