THE work of patient groups in Bradford has been celebrated at an event to share good practice.
NHS Bradford City and NHS Bradford Districts Clinical Commissioning Groups organised the event to update patient and community groups on the latest news about what they are doing to involve more people in the work they do and to encourage them to join a group at their own GP practice.
David Richardson, lay member for patient and public involvement at Bradford Districts CCG, said: “This is a great way for us to celebrate how far patient engagement has come in Bradford, and how much has been achieved in the last two years.
“This is a priority area for us and is firmly on our agenda; we are keen to hear people’s views on how we can get more people involved in the way their health services are organised and run.
“Getting patients involved, and us learning from their experiences, can really help improve the quality of healthcare services.”
The event was held at Carlisle business Centre in Manningham.
