BRADFORD Teaching Hospitals opens its doors to showcase its cutting edge technologies to the public tomorrow.

Cardiac CT, new MRI sequences and ultrasound machines will be just some of what will be on show at the event from 5.30pm to 6.30pm on the corridor of Field House at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

The radiology team will be on hand to demonstrate its innovative medical tools and radiographers and sonographers will also be offering demonstrations and answering any questions.

Other hospital teams taking part include diabetes, chaplaincy, physiotherapy, voluntary services and infection control.

The public will also get the chance to hear and see the progress being made to the new £28m hospital wing which is under construction at the BRI, which will house two children’s wards and a state-of-the-art intensive care unit.

The event will be followed at 6.30pm by the Trust's Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Annual Members Meeting (AMM) at the Sovereign Lecture Theatre.

Chairman Lord Kamlesh Patel of Bradford OBE, pictured, chief executive Professor Clive Kay, and director of finance Matthew Horner will outline the hospitals’ ambitions for the future.

Both of those meetings will also be broadcast live to patients by the Bradford Royal Infirmary’s hospital Radio Royal station and the public can tune in too by logging on to radioroyalbradford.com
