AIREDALE Hospital’s first staff calendar featuring 13 photos submitted by employees has been produced to fund a new A&E.
It has been released in time for Christmas with impressive shots of local landscapes and an inspiring patient. The project was funded through Airedale NHS Foundation Trust’s Staff Lottery.
Photographers across the trust put their creative talents to the test by taking part in a photo competition with a chance to win the £100 top prize. Employees judged entries.
Karen Dunwoodie, patient experience lead and one of the judges to select the 13 finalists, said: “This was a great opportunity for staff to make a visible difference to our hospital using photography.”
The calendars will be on sale for £5 in both hospital charity shops, the on-site hairdressers, employee wellbeing department, the education centre and the Telehealth Hub. Call 01535 294 546 or e-mail charitable.funds@anhst.nhs for more details about how to support the emergency department appeal.
