CHIEFS at Bradford hospitals have urged visitors to stay away if they have upset stomachs.
Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust had five beds closed due to viral gastroenteritis at the end of last week.
Measures such as enhanced cleaning are taking place at Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke’s to try to combat the problem.
Dr Philip Stanley, director of infection prevention and control, said: “Anyone suffering from vomiting or diarrhoea should stay away from the hospital until 48 hours after the end of symptoms.”
