Telegraph & Argus Perry Austin-Clarke's co-host for the Schools Awards 2015 will be Kate Walby.

Kate was for a long time a mainstay of ITV's Yorkshire region news programme Calendar, so will be a familiar face to many for her news reports and presenting across the patch.

She now does a similar job but up in Cumbria for the local news programme Lookaround.

Kate, originally presented Lookaround at Border TV until 2006 before moving to ITV Yorkshire, and is now back in the Cumbrian patch.

She is originally from the Isle of Man and lives in Leeds with her husband Michael.

Kate will have one of the toughest jobs of the night as she shares a stage with Perry for the whole proceedings, introducing the guest speakers and outlining the shortlists for each of the 12 categories.

As each category shortlist is announced there will be a short video presentation showing the work of the nominated finalists and endorsements from their colleagues and heads.

Then a representative of each of the individual sponsors will be invited to the stage to open the golden envelope, Oscars-style, and announce the winner, who will go up to the stage to receive their trophy.

Of course, there are really no losers by this stage, and those who have been named Highly Commended will also get a fantastic trophy to take home.

The Aagrah will be serving up its famous cuisine to the gathering of more than 300 people, the shortlisted nominees, their colleagues, and representatives of the T&A, Bradford Council, the University of Bradford and the companies who have sponsored the individual awards.

As well as the keynote speech from David Chabeaux (see page four for more information about David's career), there will be words of support from Coun Ralph Berry, who holds the children's service portfolio on Bradford Council, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bradford, Prof Bill McCarthy.
