Housing market surges as sales climb to three-year high

HOMEOWNERS in the Harwich and Dovercourt area have been given a boost with the news house sales have reached a three-year high.

A survey revealed the number of houses sold in March to be the highest since November 2009.

Local estate agents said it signalled a return of confidence to the market.

Adam Hussein, branch manager at Bairstow Eves in High Street, Dovercourt, said: “There is definitely more confidence around and there are more buyers around.”
