A MAN who is alleged to have broken into a house in Bradford while armed with a machete has denied aggravated burglary.
Benjamin Wilson, 27, of Beechwood Avenue, Wibsey, appeared at Bradford Crown Court, via a video link from Leeds Prison, for a plea and trial preparation hearing yesterday.
He pleaded not guilty to a charge of entering a dwelling in Reevy Crescent with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm on a person, and having a machete with him.
Wilson pleaded guilty to an offence of affray on the same date, March 23 this year.
Prosecutor Duncan Ritchie said there was a co-accused. He added that the not guilty plea was not acceptable at this stage.
Wilson was remanded in custody until the next hearing.
That hearing is scheduled to take place on June 8.
A trial date has now been set for September 13 this year.
