NORTH Yorkshire's first police and crime commissioner Elslack-based Julia Mulligan will put her record in the job on the line when she faces the electorate following her first term of office on May 5.
Vying to topple the Tory from her four years in the post are three candidates – James Blanchard, a Liberal Democrat; ex-police officer and author, Mike Pannett, who is an Independent; and Stephen Howley, fighting for Labour.
Voters will have their chance to chose between the four candidates at the same time as they go to the polls for the district council elections.
Across in Lancashire, the current commissioner, Labour's Clive Grunshaw, faces a challenge from James Barker (UKIP), Andy Pratt (Conservative) and Graham Roach (Liberal Democrat).
And West Yorkshire incumbent, Mark Burns-Williamson (Labour), is also seeking re-election, but is up against Peter Corkindale (UKIP), Allan Doherty (Conservative), Barry Golton (Liberal Democrats) and Therese Hirst (English Democrats).
