Telegraph & Argus editor Perry Austin-Clarke and head of design Doug Akroyd select the shortlisted Christmas card designs from the hundreds of entries
Hundreds of designs were sent in by children vying to win the Telegraph & Argus Christmas card competition – and this supplement showcases the shortlisted 36 who are in with a chance of winning.

Youngsters from across the district took up our seasonal challenge of drawing a festive scene, and the shortlisted entries are in the running to win some fabulous prizes. You can now vote for your favourite entry in any of the three age groups by text or phone.

The Leisure Exchange in Bradford has provided prizes for this year’s competition, which was open to all children aged four to 14. The Kirkgate Centre is the sponsor of this pull-out revealing the 36 finalists.

An iPad is up for grabs for the overall winner, as judged by T&A editor Perry Austin-Clarke, while £100 to be spent on art materials will go to each of the winners from the three age groups – four to six, seven to ten and 11 to 14 – as chosen by your votes.

A life-saving state-of-the-art defibrillator, worth well in excess of £1,000, will be donated to the school attended by the overall winner, courtesy of Cardiac Science UK.

The overall winner will also have the privilege of having their design used by the T&A for our 2013 Christmas card, which will be sold to raise money for the Telegraph & Argus Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal. You can also see the original entries on display at the Cineworld cinema in the Leisure Exchange, Bradford, from Friday, November 15, until Sunday, November 17, 2013.

The overall winner will then be selected by T&A editor Perry Austin-Clarke for the top prize.

The closing date to register your vote is MIDNIGHT on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17, so get voting now!
