Bradford City Gent Lenny Berry has bounded around a racecourse in the British Mascot Grand National to raise money for the British Heart Foundation’s Beating Hearts in Bradford Appeal.
He joined 71 other mascots running one furlong and jumping six fences at Huntingdon Racecourse last month.
Lenny, who estimates he came about 70th, raised £430 for the British Heart Foundation’s Beating Hearts in Bradford Appeal.
The appeal is aiming to raise £105,000 to buy a 3D echocardiograph machine for Bradford Royal Infirmary.
There are still two weeks left to support the appeal via a special text message service. Donate now by texting BHF to 70555.
The text message that donors send will cost the standard network rate. They will receive one message back billed at a total of £5, of which the Beating Hearts in Bradford Appeal will receive an average of £3.99 (this may vary between mobile networks).
