A football tournament for the Telegraph & Argus Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal due to take place this weekend has been postponed.
Sports Campaign Against Racism (SCAR), which aims to stamp out racism on council pitches and at the grassroots lev-el of the game, said the five-a-side com-petition to raise cash for our campaign to pioneer new cancer treatments will take place later this year.
It hopes about 20 teams will register for the event, which will see all proceeds go towards buying vital equipment for cancer researchers at Bradford University’s Institute of Cancer Therapeutics.
Shadow Parvez, secretary of SCAR, said it would now take place later in the year.
Anyone interested in finding out more should contact Mr Parvez by calling 07878 756486, e-mailing shadow5965@hotmail.com or by visiting SCAR’s base at Manningham Mills Sports and Community Assoc-iation.
