Bradford Park Avenue’s Shazad Parvez is still hoping more teams will come forward to commit to a charity 5-a-side tournament he has organised.
Parvez said: “I have covered the cost of the hall, referees and trophies so that all the money raised will go straight to the cancer charity.”
The tournament will be held at the 5 Alive Soccer Centre in Fairweather Green tomorrow, beginning at 6pm and the cost per team is £50 with the proceeds going to the T&A Bradford Crocus Cancer Charity.
Parvez added: “I arranged it to be at the end of Ramadan so that any Asian based teams will be able to compete at full fitness and because we all wanted to do something for charity.
“I know Bradford City are playing that day but with a 6pm start even their fans will still have time to get involved. Ideally we want 20 teams to raise £1,000 for the charity.”
Anybody wishing to enter a team can phone 5 Alive or Parvez on 07878-756486.
