Families who are part of the ground-breaking Born in Bradford (BiB) initiative descended on Lister Park yesterday for a teddy bears’ picnic.
The event included games, attractions and healthcare information for children, adults and teddies alike, including a Punch and Judy show, magic display, face painting, a bouncy castle and story-telling.
Thanks to the Bradford Bulls, there was chance for children to improve their rugby skills with tips from the club’s community coaches.
More than 10,000 families are already part of the BiB project, which will track the babies over the next 20 years from womb to adulthood so doctors can learn more about how to improve the health of people living in Bradford and elsewhere.
