THE UNDERGROUND

SITUATED a stone's throw away from North Parade is The Underground, aiming to bring live music to Bradford city centre.

The Bar had undergone a full refurbishment before opening in May 2016 to provide a good atmosphere and a venue for up and coming artists and band to perform.

It has a capacity for around 350 people and has live music from all genres on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

It plans to hold a Best of Bradford trade show later this year to showcase the work of bars, pubs and restaurants in the city centre.

EDWARD STREET BAKERY

RUN by owner Lisa Fraser, Edward Street Bakery, in Saltaire, brings additional verve, craft and flavour to the town’s already vibrant streets.

With a friendly, uplifting vibe, this craft bakery supplies establishments throughout the area, takes stalls at local food markets and runs pop-ups from time to time selling directly to loyal customers.

The company regularly gives back to the community by supporting charity events, most recently Bliss’s work at Airedale General Hospital’s neonatal unit.

Don’t let its diminutive size fool you, however, as the bakery has already gathered a faithful following.

SUNBRIDGEWELLS

TUNNELS deep beneath Bradford’s Victorian quarter were brought back to life in December last year to create a unique leisure experience in the city centre with a contemporary and historic feel on three levels.

Bars, cafes and shops make up the complex to promote both independent retailers and young entrepreneurs with the individual retailers mixing modern with elements of yesteryear.

Its presence has created another dimension for the city’s visitors.
