Bradford councillor Clive Richardson will retire as vice-chairman of West Yorkshire Police Authority when he steps down as a councillor next week.
Tributes have been paid to councillor Richardson who was appointed as a Council representative more than eight years ago, he was elected as vice-chairman of the authority in June 2003.
His authority colleagues have unanimously re-elected Coun Richardson to the high-profile position every year. Since June 2003, he has been chairman of the authority's committee responsible for community and has regularly consultation events.
Catherine Archer, chief executive of the authority, said: "It has been a pleasure to work with Clive on the Police Authority and right up until his last day he has been an active, enthusiastic and conscientious member."
