A strategy which aims to create a better district is set to be approved next week.
Bradford Council's Big Plan, or Sustainable Community Strategy, will guide how the Council and its partners work together to improve the district over the next three years.
Residents were encouraged to have their say on the big issues that need tackling to create a better future and quality of life in a major consultation exercise last year with people giving their views on ten key themes.
The themes were: children and young people; safer communities; stronger communities; healthier communities; older people; economic development and enterprise; environment; housing; culture; and transport.
The consultation took place last October and November and included questionnaires, focus groups and interviews. Consultation and resource packs were also handed out to organisations for them to run their own consultation events.
The feedback highlighted that the three top priorities were: l Regenerating the city and major towns to create more opportunities for economic growth and to attract even more investment l Improving education outcomes to prepare all our young people for an active and prosperous life.
l Improving skills at all levels to meet the needs of business and make sure local people get the new jobs that will be created.
More than 3,000 people took part in the consultation, with 1,343 completed surveys and 1,337 responses using the Council's Speak Out panel.
The plan also sets out a range of other priorities and actions which cover the six themes of: prosperity and regeneration; children and young people; safer communities; health and well-being for all; improving the environment; and strong and cohesive communities.
The Council's executive is being asked to approve the Big Plan on Tuesday and formally adopt it. Once it has been approved it will be considered by full Council later.
