Three teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of possessing a replica handgun outside Saltaire Grammar School.
Police received a call from a member of the public reporting three young males on the grounds outside the school passing what looked like a pistol between them at 12.49pm today.
The boys, one aged 14 and the others aged 15, were arrested by officers by Thompson Recreational Ground on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Apparently nobody was threatened - they were literally just passing it around among themsleves."
