Liberian national Jeffrey Aibangbee has been committed for trial at Bradford Crown Court to face charges of using a false passport.
Aibangbee, 20, who gave an address in Coppley Street, Bradford, was remanded in custody by Bingley Magistrates until May 14.
He is said to have been in possession of a Belgian passport in Ilkley on April 24/25 that was false which he intended to use. He is accused of a similar offence in Street Lane, Leeds.
In addition he is said to have committed a fraud by making a false representation to obtain a bank account at the Abbey by using a counterfeit Belgian passport.
Prosecutor Liz Wright told the bench he had originally appeared in court on April 25 charged with just one offence of using the false passport. He had been remanded to police cells for further inquiries and was making his second appearance.
