An emergency evacuation has been carried out on a plane operated by Leeds Bradford Airport-based Jet2.com.
The captain of the plane, which was preparing to leave Glasgow Airport for Alicante, raised the alarm at 7.40am, with suggestions smoke had been detected in the cockpit.
Passengers and crew left the plane via emergency exits and firefighters rushed to the scene.
It is believed at least four passengers have been injured, although none seriously.
The runway has been closed and flights to and from the Airport are currently being delayed.
